What’s Coming Up?

The Monon Center has plans to create exhibits to showcase it’s collection of local and regional historical artifacts to give visitors a snapshot into what it was like to live in a small river town like Greensboro. Plans are to reestablish the basement studios to once again teach the fine crafts of woodworking, pottery, mosaics and nature printing. Community space in the Schoolhouse classrooms can be used to continue our existing educational programming, host group meetings, after school programs, senior activities and any other activities that fit our community-oriented mission.

A museum is not a stagnant collection of historical objects to be looked at through the glass of a display case, the historical connection of the past and present should be experienced through all of the senses so we can all learn from and appreciate our past while looking forward to our future.
